Ferdinand Rennie drops "Someone To Remember Me (2025 Version)"

Ferdinand Rennie's rework of his 2010 classic, "Someone to Remember Me," shows just that. More than a decade later, the deeply personal ballad finds Ferdinand back in the studio with his longtime collaborator, Alan Vukelic, to reshape it into something vibrant and dynamic. The end product can be described as a modern sheen of a tune with all the soul that made the original shine.

This time, however, it's not just a redo, but a more fully formed gemstone that has been allowed to polish itself over years of seasoning and artistic growth. With its melody around a line (few offer) "Who will remember me?" drives, and "Someone to Remember Me (2025 Version)" is a rottish-amber thirty-year-old, less a controlling swath of black summer grey memories trapped under the smudged corner at every bar mirror. With that voice of experience born from repeated years on the circuit and countless lessons learned, it yields a special touch to this all-too-recognizable lament.

He was born and raised in Austria but now resides on the west coast of Scotland, where he has dedicated years to both the stage and studio worlds. Throughout his career, he has earned the status of a European TV regular, been seen singing on stage in West End musicals such as Les Misérables and Jesus Christ Superstar, and even performed for royalty in Monte Carlo. It's probably his ability to tap into listeners that is his biggest asset and what powers through 'Butterflies'.

The song is one of a series of releases that Ferdinand will unveil as he enters this next chapter in his music career, kicking off with "Someone to Remember Me (2025 Version)." It's a good reminder that the tales they spin rarely hit their stride on the opening installment. Complaints be ignored; the set stands out as a new favorite for both fans and naysayers with a tremendous ballad.
