Riviir & The Game releases "Kochi"

Rivière's latest single, "Kochi" (feat. The Game), pays homage to the golden age of East Coast hip-hop in a manner that is distinctly identifiable as his own. This follow-up to Rivir's catchy "Rap 4 Me" finds the rapper/producer displaying his breadth as one of hip-hop's more intriguing rising figures, in tune with the sound and authenticity of 2000s rap culture.

"Kochi" harks back to that era with its clear-cut, boom-bap production, updated for contemporary ears. The resulting flow is rhythmic yet self-assured, giving Riviir the space to let his contemplative lyrics burst into bright rhythm without pushing past the danceable underbelly. Each with his distinctive voice and seasoned style, The Games' rhymes blend perfectly into the landscape that is Riviir.

"Kochi" has a comeback feel to it, and as in, there is a renewed effort to blend the new and old influences on the table and deliver something that today's hip-hop scene can appreciate. On that track, Riviir converses with ease, angst-free, over an afrobeat rhythm, showing great vibrancy from the artist.

About to drop both music videos for "Kochi" and "Rap 4 Me," Riviír is gearing up with a promotional campaign that will help extend his vision to the sound industry. "Kochi" For fans who want that original early 2000s sound with a touch of new school, Juice Boy is a powerful precursor to an ascending star who nods in reverence for what has come before but seems intent on blazing his trail within the realm of hip-hop.
