London's genre-defying firecracker Ashnikko is back with her latest musical storm, this time collaborating with Swedish star in the making COBRAH on their unapologetically explosive new single, "Wet Like." The track is their first collaboration together and serves as the fourth single from Ashnikko's highly anticipated upcoming sophomore album, "Smoochies", set for release on October 17th via Parlophone Records.
Co-written by Ashton Nicole Casey, COBRAH, Skyler Stonestreet, and Slinger, "Wet Like" is a slick, sweat-soaked anthem that flourishes in chaos and chemistry, as well as command. It's for the dancefloor but made to rule it. From the outset, with the pulsating beat that Ashnikko drags herself across with tantalizing venom incarnate, to COBRAH's frostbitten industrial edge slicing straight through it all, just like their vocals slice through your skull in perfect erotic eagerness and electrical rebellion.
"Wet Like" isn't about asking for anyone's permission, but it insists on attention. This one is a statement piece, bold, liberated, and absolutely addictive. Joined by COBRAH, Ashnikko creates a world where fantasy and filth meet, serving fans a primer of what to expect from "Smoochies", an album that she says will be as sensual as it is empowering. On "Wet Like," Ashnikko reaffirms that pop can still be messy, sexy, and so very human.
