Danny L Harle and Caroline Polachek reunite for a celestial dance with new single "Azimuth"

London's risk-taking producer Danny L Harle comes through with a brilliant new release, "Azimuth," featuring his long-standing creative counterpart Caroline Polachek. The song marks their first collaboration in two years, a highly anticipated partnership following Polachek's successful release of "Desire, I Want to Turn Into You" in 2023.

For Harle, this release feels like he's arrived. After his glistening July single, "Starlight" with PinkPantheress, "Azimuth" is the first we've heard from him on XL Recordings, and it carries a mission-statement quality about it. Co-written and produced by Harle and Polachek, the song expands, with ethereal vocals sliding above glowing synths and driving beats that evoke a sense of weightless travel to another dimension.

Polachek's voice, never the bitter ice queen sometimes implied by her assertively stoical delivery, proves itself as a compass guiding Harle's celestial production toward new creative stars. Together, they create a soundscape that's simultaneously spiritual, mathematical, and recognizably human, an alignment of emotion and precision so impossible that only two artists, whose collaboration defies gravity, could achieve it. "Azimuth" is another reminder that no matter the wideness of sound, creative orbits tend to find one another.
