Faith Child discovers light amid the darkness with "When Faith Feels Far"

"When Faith Feels Far" by MOBO Award-winning and chart-topping Christian rap & hip-hop artist, Faith Child, is the long-awaited third studio album from the international ambassador of UK Christian music. This honest, introspective, and redemptive record delves into the beauty of believing when believing feels impossible. The 15-track, 47-minute project is as emotionally complex as it is spiritually potent, serving as the most personal and introspective work from Faith Child yet.

Penned in the shadow of his father's unexpected death, Faith Child wrestles with doubt and grief and unanswered prayer, but also with healing, surprising hope, and how God is ever-present. When Faith Feels Far doesn't shy from the shadow, but it invites its listeners to sit in it long enough to see the light break through. Two obvious hits emerge as favourites: "Catfish", which is funny in its rhythm and form, and the infectious "Oluwa Is Involved", which testifies that every victory belongs to God - a track that strikes just the right balance between groove and gratitude.

From the raw honesty of "Good Mourning", in which he grapples with the tension between praying for healing while saying goodbye, to "Unbelief", that echoes Mark 9, Faith Child finds words for things often left unsaid – wrestling and relinquishment. "Church Hurt", with Briggs the Wordsmith, and "A Million Miles" offer compassion and apology to those injured by expressions of faith, with accountability doing a two-step.

Hope rises. On "Stereotype" and "Older," he grapples with prejudice and the cycles of pain that unite generations; on "Holy Place," "Cardio," and "Fast Life," he thrums with themes of renewal, discipline, and daily devotion." When Faith Feels Far" is a conversation with heaven amidst heartbreak. Exposing a fragile victory, Faith Child brings you a soundtrack for learning to trust again when faith seems distant.
