"Legends" is a unique piece of art, crafted with genuine artistic intent across three continents. In a world where collaboration happens at the speed of a message notification, "Legends" stands out. Andy Smith and Emily E. Finke, both award-winning artists, first met in May 2025. What started as a creative spark quickly turned into a huge musical journey that crossed borders. "Legends," their new track, is more than just a song. It's a journey across continents of sound, story, and shared vision.
"Legends' is built around images of crossing mountains of gold and chasing cities of light. It captures the haunting tension between time and distance. The song tells a story about how time can change legends into myths and how distance can make it difficult to tell what's real from what's imagined. Even though the song is about separation, its very existence shows the opposite, that music can cross oceans and time zones with just one melody.
Andy and Emily co-produced the writing and production from their home countries, so most of it happened online. Their global approach stayed the same all the way through final mastering, which was done by Andy De Rosa of Wave Mastering in the UK. The vocals, on the other hand, came together in the most grounded way possible, they were recorded side by side in Atlanta, GA, while both artists were in town for the ISSA Awards in August 2025.
"Legends" is already making a big impact on listeners and people in the music business. The story of this song may go on forever, but its effect is immediate. This shows that some songs aren't just written, they're made over time and with the help of other people, which makes them legendary.
