Street Beat Brass ride the horizon on new release, “Out West”

Street Beat Brass is back with a new release, “Out West,” which feels more like an adventure than just a song. Inspired by a family road trip through the beautiful American Southwest, this piece takes listeners on a journey filled with a sense of movement and exploration.

Led by band leader Jeff Fairbanks, the music captures the essence of a 2023 trip through the stunning Rocky Mountains and the striking red rock landscapes of Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. It’s easy to imagine the dry air, long roads, and the breathtaking views of nature as the sound unfolds. “Out West” maintains the band’s New Orleans brass roots but quickly branches out to explore different styles. Latin rhythms are blended in, giving the music a lively feel that keeps it engaging and fresh.
