Madness Announce Massive UK Arena Tour for 2025

Ska-pop favourites Madness, who have been the sound of British summers for over 40 years, unveil a major UK arena tour for the end of 2025. More than four decades into the game, the band is determined to prove they’ve still got more bounce than a London double-decker, and they’re strutting their signature swagger across some of the largest stages in the country.

This is on the heels of one of the greatest moments in their career. Indeed, Weber believes that last year’s album, Theatre Of The Absurd Presents C’est La Vie, didn’t just satisfy the band’s existing fans or, as he puts it, “the old farts”; it went straight in at No. 1 in the UK charts. Incredibly, despite decades of success in the British music business, it was their first-ever UK Number One studio album. Good things come to those who wait, and Madness looks to be lapping up this deserved victory lap.

The tour will open in style in December at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena, before visiting cities such as Manchester, Glasgow, and Aberdeen. We also left the dressing room in disarray. Every town on the run will be injected with a dose of Madness Magic, with a closing night at the ever-popular O2 Arena in London on December 20th, 2025, just in time for a suitably Christmassy knees up in the capital.

And if that were not enough, support throughout the entire tour is from fellow legends Squeeze. The new wave legends who wooed Glastonbury last summer will take to the stage with their classics, before being followed by Madness, who will close the show each night.

And in typical Mad fashion, the band also shared a cheeky statement with the tour announcement: “We’re taking our very own parade to your town soon… bringing glittering hits and all the pizzazz of the fair, everyone welcome.”

If you’ve ever attended a Madness show, you know that referring to this as “parading” is no exaggeration but a raucous, horn-stoked parade in its own right. Look for sing-alongs, dancing in the aisles, and maybe a couple of flying fezzes.

Fans can also expect a special release for Record Store Day, a selection of covers handpicked by Madness from across the years. Available on beautiful translucent red vinyl and pressed from April 12th, this is an essential purchase for both hardcore fans and rabid collectors.
