Newton Faulkner unleashes swagger and soul in "Alright Alright Alright"

Newton Faulkner makes his return with "Alright Alright Alright," a gritty, up-tempo Brit-rock banger that not only highlights he's still here, but doing so on his terms. In its lyrics, "Alright Alright Alright" serves as a rallying cry, a gorgeously rousing anthem for those trying to maintain hope in the face of a rapidly changing world. It sounds urgent, it's alive, and it sounds like someone wrote it with the volume turned up and the windows rolled down.

Faulkner may be familiar to longtime fans from Teardrop's soft, haunting days, though this single is a revelation. It's loud, assured, and it swagger-tosses with a bluesy undertow that's nothing if not finger sucking good. Highlighted by an adrenalizing hook-up with Bloom Twins, "Alright Alright Alright" is replete with the raw inclination and energy that never runs out of steam.

With the announcement, Aulckner's fall tour in support of his upcoming album, Octopus, is set to be in stores September 19. He'll also be taking to stages throughout the UK and beyond, with dates including Leeds' Project House on October 22 and an inaugural date at The Crescent in York this Sunday, May 4, 2025. This is the perfect chance to hear the new sound in all its live and loud glory.

"Alright Alright Alright" thumps at an unyielding tempo with a rhythm that seizes you by the collar and never lets go. There's a fever to this music, something snarling and also melodic, that reinvigorates Faulkner's sound. But while the growl punches harder, his signature vocal charisma remains front and center, anchoring the chaos with a voice that's half gravel and half grace. Newton Faulkner may have ridden the acoustic boom of the '00s, but he wants you to know one thing: there's no dwelling in the past here with "Alright Alright Alright."
