JVK ignites a digital revival with shocking new single “Get Offline”

Boston-based rising rock phenoms JVK have returned, louder, glossier, and more unapologetically themselves than ever before, with their new single “Get Offline” recently released. Now, having gone nearly two years without saying much of anything, their previous single was a 2024 release called “Body Double”, the band is storming back with formidable fury and the generous spirit of revelation.

Led by the charismatic Jo Krieger (vocals) and backed by guitarists Kay Kwiatek and Atticus Crowley, Noel Rudloff on bass, and drummer Troy Welling, the band brings forth the spirit of needing to escape from the infinite scroll that is modern life. “Get Offline” is more than a song, it’s a statement.

Mashing up retro glam flamboyance with punk determination and synth-pop shimmer, the track lands like a wild night in a never-closing neon-lit den of excess. Producer Alex Allinson manages the pandemonium brilliantly, creating a sound world that is at once retro and futuristic. The writing team, including Crowley, Krieger, Kwiatek, Olivia Barcohana, and Zach Feinstein, matches pointed hooks to razor-edged social commentary for an anthem that’s a plea to dance your way out of digital dependence.

With pulsating basslines and Krieger’s fiery vocal delivery, “Get Offline” is simply ripe with the energy of a generation prepared to shut down, disconnect, reboot, and save its soul. It’s brash, bold, and stupidly self-aware, the perfect next step for a band that’s never been afraid to reinvent itself.
