YONAKA tears the bandage off of love's wounds with new single "Problem"

Brighton alt-rock powerhorse YONAKA are here and they're not letting up as they step into their next era with "Problems." The song is the trio's first release in over a year, following their February 2024 single, "Fight For The Right".

It's also the first taste of their forthcoming sophomore album, a record that they have described as their boldest and their first as free agents after leaving a major record label. Written with Alex Crosby and George Werbrouck-Edwards, and co-produced by Jarvis alongside Dimitri Tikovoi, the result is at once wild and razor sharp, a perfect combination of gut feeling and pinpoint accuracy that only YONAKA could fall together.

The production strikes the right balance between grit and transparency, allowing Jarvis's voice to ping-pong from venomous to vulnerable. The band isn't just playing the song, but they're living inside of it. Each note sounds like a confession, each beat like a pulse quickening in the fever heat of an argument. "Problems" is an announcement. But YONAKA are still blazing their own trail, warts and all, and this song is proof they've never sounded more alive
