Two Friends & maryjo strike with electrifying new single "Trouble"

Los Angeles DJ duo Two Friends (Eli Sones and Matthew Halper) are accustomed to transforming late-night energy into lasting anthems. With their most recent release, "Trouble", they have raised that bar once more, having collaborated for the first time with up-and-coming US singer/songwriter maryjo.

"Trouble" was initially set for release in early 2025; the song has been held back as the pair sought a vocalist for the track. And then they stumbled on Maryjo on TikTok, and her raw, in-your-face vocal instantly won them over. And it's a collaboration that could have easily not taken place, though it feels fated.

"Trouble," written by Eli Sones, Kyle Reynolds, maryjo, Matt Halper, Michael Fatkin, and Rachel Salvitt (Zohara). Produced by Two Friends and Michael Fatkin, it is a blend of the group's signature pulsing beats, intoxicating hooks, and vocals that resonate straight to the heart. The result is half emotional and half explosive. It's a song that can work just as well in your sleep or on the festival circuit.

Two Friends expressed their enthusiasm for their new track: "We're so over the moon that 'Trouble' is finally out in the world. This one has been in rotation for months now, and the reaction is insane. I loved working with maryjo so much. "Her voice is what took the song to a place that we wouldn't have even dreamed of." Whether you hear it as a communal anthem in the middle of a jam-packed room or press play solo, "Trouble" is that kind of song that burrows inside and gets stuck there all day long.
